In Jabalpur, 218 wanted individuals were caught during police combing patrols to address rising crime.

Jabalpur – To prevent the rising crime in the city, Jabalpur SP Sampat Upadhyay held a review meeting and issued directives, following which a joint police combing patrol was conducted after midnight. During this patrol, criminals and wanted persons involved in various cases were apprehended. In this joint operation carried out by the city and rural police stations, 218 warrants were executed. During the combing patrol, teams were formed in each police station to arrest fugitives and those with pending cases, with 2-3 teams per station. The station in-charge led one team, while the other teams were headed by sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors.

During the combing patrol, 101 non-bailable warrants and 117 arrest warrants were executed, along with 123 bail warrants. Additionally, those traveling late at night were stopped and questioned, and suspicious persons and vehicles at the railway station, bus stand, and passenger shelters were checked. In this large-scale combing patrol, Additional SPs Anand Kaladgi, Samar Verma, Pradeep Kumar Shende, Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey, along with all CSPs, DSPs, and station in-charges were present.
